SOCORRO / ARCHIPIELAGO DE REVILLAGIGEDO
13 days / 12 nights / 9 days of diving
November through May
The Revillagigedo Islands (also Revillagigedo Archipelago) are a group of four volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, known for their unique ecosystem. The islands are home to many endemic plant and animal species. Socorro Island is the most diverse in flora, fauna, and topography. The islands lie 250 miles off Baja Mexico's southern shore.
Most trips to Revillagigedo visit three islands: San Benedicto, Socorro, and Roca Partida. On this epic adventure, we will also travel an additional 16 hours to the rarely-visited Clarion Island.
These islands are a haven for the world's most magnificent ocean pelagic animals. Imagine encountering schooling hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, friendly bottlenose dolphins, silky sharks, Galapagos sharks, clouds of jacks and barracuda, tuna, wahoo, oceanic whitetip sharks, and giant, inquisitive manta rays - Socorro's claim to fame!
This is also the time of year when we may see whale sharks, giant bait balls, and pods of false orcas!
REVILLAGIGEDO ITINERARY, INCLUDING CLARION ISLAND
Below is our scheduled diving itinerary. Weather and sea conditions may require changes to this itinerary. If unique animal sighting opportunities arise, we may suggest alternative options to divers.
13-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 - Board at 5pm
Day 2 - Day at Sea
Day 3 - San Benedicto / 4 dives
Day 4 - Socorro / 3 dives + Navy Inspection
Day 5 - Roca Partida / 3 dives
Day 6 - Roca Partida / 2 dives - leave for Clarion after the second dive
Day 7 - Clarion / 3-4 dives (depends on the weather during the crossing)
Day 8 - Clarion / 2 dives - leave Clarion after the second dive
Day 9 - Roca Partida / 3 dives
Day 10 - Socorro / 4 dives
Day 11 - Open - we will go wherever conditions are best, i.e., San Benedicto or Socorro / 4 dives
Day 12 - Day at Sea
Day 13 - Disembark at approximately 8:30 am in San Jose Del Cabo

Dive, snorkel, kayak, and hike on this special trip just for families aboard Quino el Guardian.
The Sea of Cortez, known as the Gulf of California, is a breathtaking destination for scuba diving, snorkeling, and exploration. Each day you will awake at a different island to a beautiful sunrise. The best part of the Sea of Cortez is you never know what Mother Nature will bring our way. Dive and snorkel next to islands with beautiful fish in unheard-of numbers, turtles, rays, octopus, and eels. It’s a macro photographers dream with colorful nudibranchs, blennies and jawfish. Dives and snorkelers alike will enjoy the playful sea lions and a highlight of the trip is snorkeling with whale sharks.
Between dives you can relax or hike and explore remote uninhabited islets or even enjoy a kayak adventure. At night you can gaze at the Milky Way and watch for falling stars.
